Neuro
2011
In 2011, AZAM collaborated with neuroscientists in San Francisco, USA from the pharmaceutical firm Elan plc (now Perrigo plc) to create a series of paintings using their latest MRI scans technology.
The work drew on the visual work of neuroscience, and were a continuation of an earlier series, Anantomica (2008) which was based on an expanded and opened-up view of the human body as an abstract configuration of colour and form.
The completed works are displayed at their Research Centre (San Francisco) and HQ (Dublin)
